TAKE ME OUT TO THE … PROSTATE EXAM

Prostate exams are never fun. They’re necessary, but incredibly awkward at the same time. Most guys just stare ahead and hope it’s over soon. And then there’s Allan Benavides, the general manager of the Eugene Emeralds — the single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Benavides, for some reason, recently led the home fans in singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch — all while undergoing a prostate exam. It’s unclear why he did it. Maybe he was trying to promote men’s health? Maybe it’s just another minor league ballclub performing an oddball stunt.
