An Old Question Is Answered …
I‘ve had many heated discussions with friends on who’s smarter, dogs or cats. I truly love both, but dogs have a softer spot in my heart.
Despite that, i have always felt that cat’s edge out their canine counterparts in brain power. I mean yah, you can train dogs to do more than cats, but while dogs are pack animals and depend on each other while cats are independent and relied more on themselves.
I guess I’m wrong … Researchers at Vanderbilt University conducted studies to figure out which animals have the biggest brain capacity and found that dogs were the big winners with 530 million neurons. This is more than twice as many neurons as cats have. That’s right. Dogs are twice as smart as cats. Who knew? I guess the dogs did …
