Broome, Delaware, Chenango Counties move up to “high” rate of COVID-19 transmission

Things are getting worse for Broome, Chenango and Delaware Counties as COVID-19 continues to spread rapidly.

The counties have gone up from “substantial” transmission to “high.”

Nearby Tioga still remains in “substantial.”

While there are no mask mandates yet, everyone is encouraged to wear a mask indoors regardless of their vaccination status.

As of Tuesday afternoon there are 210 active cases in Broome County with 31 new cases.
