Changes In NYS Covid Mandates
The New York State food and beverage service curfew ends for outdoor dining areas at bars and restaurants today (5/17).
Establishments can now set their own hours and serve customers past the midnight curfew.
The 1 a.m. catered event curfew is also lifted Monday.
For indoor dining areas, the midnight curfew ends on May 31, which is the same day as the state’s curfew for all catered events.
Also New York State will adopt the new CDC guidelines that say fully vaccinated people will no longer be required to wear a mask effective Wednesday(5/19).
On May 13, the CDC announced that people who are vaccinated will no longer be required to wear a mask inside most places. The CDC still calls for mask-wearing in crowded places.
Target stores says it no longer is requiring fully vaccinated guests and employees to wear face masks in the store, unless they’re required by local ordinances.
Private venues may still impose their own restrictions.
