Insane Star Wars Toy

I am the first generation to grow up with the Star Wars movies and all that spun off from it, namely the toys.  I still remember getting my first Luke Skywalker action figure or my first Light saber. Everyone in the neighborhood had to one up each other on who had the latest or greatest Star Wars something .

Well there,s little doubt that toys have become cooler over the years. Now the same can be said about Star Wars toys.

The Hasbro toy company is developing the biggest Star Wars toy ever made — a four-foot-long model of Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge from Return of the Jedi — with a retail price of $499.

The proposed vehicle would be in scale with the newly revived, 3.75″ “Vintage Collection” of Star Wars action figures, which makes it an insane 49.35″ long, and just over 17″ high at the top of the barge’s fabric sails. As well as including a fully detailed interior accessible by removeable panels, the Barge would include a special figure of Jabba himself, as well as a lavish production booklet detailing how the vehicle was translated from the movie to $500’s worth of plastic.

Hasbro hopes to sell the barge with a crowdfunding effort. If 5,000 backers commit to buying one, Hasbro will get it manufactured and delivered.

Fans have until April 3rd to put their money where their mouth is and put an order in for this thing.

Now if my mom hadn’t thrown away all my classic Star Wars toys ….
