The 2019 Southern Tier Heart Walk will be held at the SUNY Broome Community College Ice Center on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 10a.m. – 1:30p.m. The Southern Tier Heart Walk is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. All walkers are asked to set a fundraising goal of $100 and official Heart Walk t-shirts are available to those who raise $100 or more. At $250 participants are eligible to receive the new commemorative t-shirt and incentive prizes. A minimum of $25 in donations is highly encouraged (the day of the event) for all participants 18 years or older. All participants must register at www.southerntierheartwalk.org.
Event registration as well as area physical fitness demonstrations, live music and entertainment will begin at 10a.m. The new 50-yard dash Kids Fun Run will be held at 11:00a.m. Check out all of our sponsors’ areas and enjoy food, heart and stroke health education, survivor celebrations, advocacy, kid’s activities and plenty of fun inside and outside the Ice Center
The walk route is a 1.5 – 3 mile, non-competitive course around the SUNY Broome Community College campus. This walk is rain or shine, so dress appropriately. No dogs allowed on campus.
