New COVID-19 Restrictions for Broome County

Broome County Executive Jason Garner just announced at his press conference this morning that there are new COVID-19 restrictions in place. Starting at 10pm tomorrow (Nov 14) all in-person services will be closed from 10pm to 5 am.

Bars, restaurants and all other in-person services will be mandated to close at 10pm. this mandate will be enforced by local law enforcement.

Residents are asked to have gatherings of no more than 10 people at their residence at any time, including holidays until further notice. Jason Gardner advises that residents of Broome County have only immediate family over the holidays, with no extended family present.

If you plan to travel for the holidays, a COVID-19 Test is recommended before you leave and when you return, with quarantine in place while you wait on results to return.
