The Rumble Ponies announces their 2020 coaching staff

We may have snow on the ground, but baseball spring training is just around the corner and the New York Mets have their 2020 coaching staff ….

Lorenzo Bundy will be the Rumble Ponies manager for the 2020 season. He replaces Kevin Boles, who was promoted to minor league field coordinator after managing the Rumble Ponies for one season.

Bundy has thirty years of managing experience, spending time in both MLB and MiLB, and the Mexican League. Prior to his managing career, Bundy spent eight seasons playing in the Minor Leagues and the Mexican League.

Bundy has most recently managed in the Mexican League. He won three championships and was named Manager of the Year twice during his time in the Mexican League.

Bundy has held Major League Baseball coaching positions with a number of teams. Bundy was the outfield and base running coach for the Marlins in 2015 and 2016. He has also spent time with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a first base coach in 2009, and the Colorado Rockies as a bullpen coach in 1999.

Bundy was named Pacific Coast League manager of the year in 2012 during his time with the Albuquerque Isotopes, the AAA team of the Colorado Rockies.

He’s the rest of the coaching staff:

Pitching coach – Jonathan Hurst

Hitting Coach – Tony Jaramillo

Bench Coach – Luis Rivera

Athletic Trainer – Kiyoshi Tada

Performance Coach – Tanner Miracle

The Rumble Ponies open their season at home on April 9th against the Akron Rubber Ducks.
