Join us for The Tournament of Marching Bands and the Columbus Day Parade with six high school marching bands from Athens and Tioga, PA; Union-Endicott, Chenango Forks, Johnson City and Whitney Point and host Binghamton High School Steel Drum Band; Italian fraternal organizations, dignitaries, antique cars, fire trucks and sports teams and will process from the intersection of Main & Arthur Streets east through the downtown to end at the Broome County Courthouse.

At 9:00 AM, there will have a brief Italian Flag-Raising ceremony in front of City Hall on State Street with members of the Italian community, Mayor Kraham, local dignitaries, a Tri-Cities Opera singer and the news media.

The parade begins at 10:00 AM and will be followed by the Italian Festival, which takes place during and after the parade and an awards ceremony for the school marching bands.

This year’s parade will include students from the Italian Club at Union Endicott High School who expect to be joined by visiting exchange students from Varese, Italy.

Parade fans and participants can all enjoy authentic Italian delicacies from our local Italian community and church groups, and there be live music with Rooster & the Roadhouse Horns.
