For The Weekend Of 3/22-24

The Top 5 movies this weekend:

1. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire – $45.2 million
2. Dune: Part Two – $17.6 million
3. Kung Fu Panda 4 – $16.8 million
4. Immaculate – $5.4 million
5. Arthur the King – $4.4 million

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire opened in first with a better-than-expected $45.2 million at the weekend box office. It was also slightly ahead of the previous movie in the franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which earned $44 million in 2021.

Dune: Part Two stayed in second with $17.6 million, taking its domestic total to $233.4 million.

After two weeks at number-one, Kung Fu Panda 4 dropped to third with $16.8 million.

The horror flick Immaculate, starring Sidney Sweeney, debuted in third with $5.4 million, followed by Arthur the King with $4.4 million.

The indie horror movie, Late Night With the Devil, starring David Dastmalchian, opened in sixth with $2.8 million in only 1000 theaters.
