Despicable Me 4 opened at number-one with $75 million. The animated sequel took in $122.6 million since being released on Wednesday.
Inside Out 2, which was the top movie for the last three weeks, dropped to second with $30 million. The Pixar movie earned $533.8 million domestically and $1.2 billion globally.
A Quiet Place: Day One dropped from second to third with $21 million.
MaXXXine debuted in fourth with $6.7 million, just ahead of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which made $6.6 million.
