Veterans Day deals in Broome County

From coffee and doughnuts to full entrées and desserts, many U.S. restaurants and stores with a presence in the Southern Tier will salute veterans and active duty military personnel by serving up free food and drinks on Veterans Day.

The holiday falls on Saturday, Nov. 11. State and federal building will also be closed to observe the holiday Friday, Nov. 10.

The U.S. Postal Service will have normal post office operations on Friday, Nov. 10, including mail delivery and retail services.

Post offices will be closed Saturday, Nov. 11, with no mail delivery or retail services, in observance of Veterans Day.

Applebee’s

All active-duty military, veterans, reserves and National Guard who dine in will receive a complimentary full-size entrée from an exclusive menu Saturday. 

Additionally, when dining in, Applebee’s will honor these special guests with a $5 Bounce Back Card to redeem for dine-in, To Go, or delivery within a three-week redemption window. Learn more about the Applebee’s Veterans Day discount or visit the Applebee’s website.

Binghamton Black Bears 

For the veterans who love hockey, this Veterans Day the Black Bears will host their third consecutive Military Appreciation Night at 7 p.m. Veterans and active-duty military members can claim a free ticket to the Saturday night game by calling the Black Bears office at (607)722-7367 or by visiting the Black Bears hockey offices on the third floor of Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The team will also sport military appreciation specialty jerseys, courtesy of Lockheed Martin. Following the game, the specialty jerseys will be auctioned-off with proceeds going to benefit the Binghamton Vet Center.

Chili’s

All veterans and active military members can get a free meal on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at participating Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants. Available in-restaurant only for select items. Please present Military ID to redeem offer. Visit Chili’s Veterans Day free meal offer to learn more.

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel offers multiple deals for U.S. veterans, active duty military and supporting guests in November.

Dunkin’

Dunkin’ Donuts gives a free doughnut to active-duty military members and veterans Nov. 11. No purchase required; available in-store. Read more about the Dunkin’ Veterans Day discount.

Farmers Market Coupon Distribution Event

Veterans can also get their grocery shopping done at the Broome County Regional Farmers Markert. Thanks to Cornell Cooperative Extension, veterans will receive $15 in coupons that can be used to shop from a wide variety of local vendors with products such as fresh produce, protein, dairy, and other essentials. Those planning to attend are asked to bring proof of their veteran status in order to take part.

McCoy’s Chophouse 

McCoy’s is extending its gratitude to veterans and active military personnel by offering qualifying guests a free appetizer or dessert of their choice with the purchase of a dinner. The deal runs from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling (607)723-0555.

Price Chopper/Market 32 

All veterans, active-duty service members, and their families can save on groceries this Veterans Day. Price Chopper and Marker 32 stores are offering a special 11% discount on any one shopping trip. Proof of service and AdvantEdge Card are required.

Red Robin

Veterans and active-duty military guests who dine-in will receive a complimentary Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries at participating locations on Nov. 11. The burger features one of Red Robin’s new, thicker, juicier burger patties, American cheese, Red’s Secret Tavern Sauce, shredded lettuce and vine-ripened tomatoes, all piled high on a toasted brioche bun. It’s coffee time for veterans at Starbucks.
